CORPORATE TELEPHONE PREFERENCE SERVICE SCANNING
On 25th June 2004 the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) was introduced. From this date, any UK business is able to register its telephone
numbers with the Telephone Preference Services on the ‘do not call’ list. It is an offence to make sales calls to any of these numbers 28 days after the
company has registered them. The maximum fine for making a sales call to these numbers is £5000.
The aim of this new legislation is to make it possible for businesses to opt-out of receiving unwanted sales calls.
Link Telemarketing Services are required to make you aware of the new legislation and to ensure that the data you are using has been screened through the Telephone Preference Service. We are able to screen your data for you and recommend that this is done once every quarter.
